Emergency Assistance FUND
ACSF works closely with ACS Social Workers to provide support to families in crisis through our Emergency Assistance Fund.
This fund was created as a way to ensure access to crucial resources for ACS families through our school social workers. Funding has been provided for assistance with food, housing, utilities, and transportation. Requests are generated by Asheville City Schools’ social workers when all other available community funds have been exhausted.
The Emergency Assistance Fund is also used to stock the ACS Family Resource Center located at Asheville Middle School. Additionally, ACSF is the Manna Food Bank partner agency providing family food resources at all Asheville City schools.
For more information about the resource center or emergency assistance availability, please contact your school social worker.
