Highlights of ACSF in The Randolph Learning Center
2010 - 2011 Awards
A Micro-Grant was award for The RLC Graphic Novel Library, written by Thomas Tepper. This graphic library will include books to enhance the social studies curriculum.
The Randolph Learning Center was awarded a Deborah Sizemore Arts Grant for Magic and Transformations, a proposal written by Loralee Kendall Iglesias. This project will introduce students to Cherokee culture, including story telling and a visit to the Oconaluftee Village. Students will also work with the UNCA Drama Department to create a performance for parents, family and the community.
2009 - 2010 Awards
The Randolph Learning Center is awarded an ACSF Innovation Grant to create a Mural, a proposal written by Derek Edwards. The students will use art to reflect their learning as related to the standard course of study.
