Reading, Riding, and Retrofit Green Team Grants

Overview
The purpose of this grant is to fund environmental leadership projects, which can demonstrate environmental benefits - specifically school-level strategies that provide measurable greenhouse gas reductions.
 
 

Objectives

  1. Establish environmental leadership projects at the school building level

  2. Implement school-level strategies that provide measureable greenhouse gas reduction

  3. Enhance understanding of greenhouse gas reduction with community outreach

 

Application Procedure: Grants must be submitted electronically to Kate Pett  by September 23, 2011 and one hard copy must arrive in the ACSF office within three (3) working days of the due date.  Incomplete or late applications will not be considered.The grant applicant must be an employee of the Asheville City Schools System.Hard copies of completed applications should be couriered or delivered to: ACSF, 85 Mountain Street, Asheville, NC 28802.

 

Applications will be considered and awarded by the Foundation’s Allocations Committee, with award notification approximately two (2) weeks after submission.
