Local Businesses Support Teachers

Each year our community is given the opportunity to honor a teacher for the holidays by giving a tax deductible gift to the Asheville City Schools Foundation.  This year four local businesses are matching contributions made by the community by partnering with the Asheville City Schools Foundation in the Buy Local Gift Card initiative.  Adorn Salon, The French Broad Chocolate Lounge, Hip Replacements and the Hop Ice Cream Shops all donated something to help honor our teachers. 
    “The Asheville City Schools Foundation aims to expand this program.  It’s a win-win because it exposes new customers to our local businesses while providing a nice gift to our teachers.  Donors have the opportunity to not only give a gift to their favorite teacher, but to also support excellence in our city schools.” says Co-Director Leah Ferguson
